UBI to Market Real Biotech Corporation's HIT Competent Cells in Canada

1 minute non-heat shock transforming E Coli cells now available to Canadian researchers.

(PRWEB) September 30, 2005 - United Bioinformatica Inc. (UBI) announces an agreement with Real Biotech Corporation (RBC) to market their innovative, high quality molecular biology kits in Canada.

UBI offers high quality molecular biology kits at savings of 25% or more over existing competitors. UBI is able to do this thru innovative suppliers such as RBC and UBI's low cost distribution channel. UBI uses Post Grads and Post Docs working in Canadian academic labs to provide marketing and support to the labs that use UBI products.

Russell Trischuk, UBI Partner, has been using, testing and evaluating competitive molecular biology kits for over 9 years. Mr. Trischuk commented, "RBC''s HIT Competent Cells are amazing. The protocol was literally one minute and required no heat shock. The efficiencies stated on the kits were reached and exceeded even with the almost instantaneous protocol. I have never before seen such a high quality product".

Fionn Quinlan, International Sales Manager at RBC, explained, "A combination of proprietary technologies involved in HIT cells have been developed in our labs over the last two years. These cells save over two hours compared to traditional transformation methods, while exceeding efficiency claims of established competitors. It's truly a revolution in a basic molecular biology technique. The customer simply thaws the cells, adds DNA, mixes and plates immediately. The cells have proved so efficient, fast and economical many researchers don't bother with the tedious and low efficiency preparation and use of DIY competent cells anymore and can focus on more important details".

With RBC, UBI has a very broad range of molecular biology kits available including competent cells, DNA and RNA extraction, plasmid isolation, nucleic acid clean up, cloning systems, polymerases, ladders, and proteomics. UBI's over 200 customers can acquire virtually all of their molecular biology kit needs in one place from UBI.
