Petroleum Contaminants Recycling or Reprocessing -- A Real World Documented Case Study

Filter protects refiner's catalyst beds and facilitates routing of contaminants back into system for reprocessing.

(PRWEB) September 30, 2005 -- A major refiner was considering installing cartridge filters ahead of a hydrocracker to prevent scale and other solids in gas oil from plugging catalyst beds.

They were extremely concerned, however, about high incineration costs for spent cartridges.

Ronningen-Petter showed how self-cleaning filters would avoid this problem and save thousands of dollars.

What's more, their team of engineers showed how the filter's cleaning liquid and contaminants could be routed back to the crude unit for reprocessing into lower-end products.

The result? A money saving closed-loop system.
