Northridge, CA -- (PRWEB) September 30, 2005 -- Award-winning, high-end retail jewelry designer, Steven Zale, has always had a soft spot for diamonds  and for children. His company, Zalemark, Inc., has formed a partnership with Operation Smile that allows him to combine these interests in a unique way. Operation Smile, which provides free reconstructive surgery to children born with cleft lips and palates, has changed the lives of over 94,000 children in 25 countries around the globe. Zalemark has agreed to donate a percentage of the proceeds from sales of its newly launched Demeter™ line, featuring supermodel Rachel Hunter, to the children of Operation Smile. Zalemark will also allow one lucky raffle winner to select the piece of their choice from the Demeter line during Operation SmileÂs gala event, being held October 1st at the Regent Beverly Wilshire in Los Angeles. The pieces range in value from one thousand to thirty thousand dollars.
The partnership marks the beginning of an ongoing relationship between the two companies, one that will include a variety of cross-promotional and marketing efforts in the future. ÂWe are very pleased to have Steven Zale and Zalemark working with us to benefit the children of Operation Smile, notes Steve Overturf, West Coast Development Director for Operation Smile. ÂThis agreement is proof-positive that commerce and charity are not mutually exclusive ideals.Â
ÂThis partnership is an extension of beauty in my mind, explains Steven Zale. ÂOur work with Operation Smile allows us to extend the visual beauty of the jewelry we create into a beautiful action  action that directly benefits children whose lives are drastically improved by the work of Operation Smile.Â
