Firm Bags Deal from Japanese Gaming Console Game Developers

(PRWEB) September 30, 2005 -- A Philippine firm, with help from a Japanese partner, has recently disclosed that it has been doing some animation work locally for the game developers of a popular Japanese gaming console, officials told INQ7.net in an interview on Wednesday.
Systema Computer Solutions Corp., through Software Partnership International Japan (SPIJ), has recently attracted Japanese game content providers for a popular gaming console to outsource some of the work to the local animation house Art Farm, also a partner of Systema, said Katsumi Yamaguchi, SPIJ president.
Declining to name the Japanese console game developer due to non-disclosure agreements that it signed, SPIJ head Yamaguchi said this outsourcing deal blossomed six months ago, after several Japanese game developers were invited to look at the local animation talent apparently doing work for big names like Disney.
Filipinos are now doing "three-dimensional animation" work for the Japanese game developers, Yamaguchi said. "They were impressed with our local talent after they learned Holy Cow! [Animation Inc.] is doing animation for Disney," he added.
SPIJ and Systema are doing mainly software development outsourcing work for Japanese firms. They have recently began to expand their portfolio to include offshore animation services to Japan-based firms.
Yamaguchi said that SPIJ and Systema would attract top gaming console firms to work directly with them.
"Actually, we're here to facilitate business relations, by offering project management services for the Japanese market wanting to outsource projects here," the Japanese executive said.
