Parlez Entertainment Magazine Prepares for Launch in January 2006

Parlez Entertainment magazine will serve as the "missing link" in African-American entertainment coverage left open by other mainstream publications.

Writers and Poets' best selling author, Wanda M. Toby, and her publishing company, Moriby Corp., announce the upcoming publication of the first African-American-targeted entertainment guide. Parlez Entertainment magazine, launching January 2006, will serve African-American magazine readers with entertainment coverage from literature to sports to film.

While Essence, Vibe, Jet, The Source, Right On, Black Beat, and Black Men magazines are all celebrated entertainment publications that serve a specified purpose for the African American magazine reader, urban readers are missing an entertainment magazine with comprehensive entertainment coverage. Ms. Toby partnered with to bring readers fresh, off-the-cuff commentary to the African-American audience.

"I decided to launch Parlez Entertainment after unsuccessfully looking for a print publication that dealt with all entertainment areas like movies, books, televisions, actors, sports and more," Ms. Toby stated. "Parlez is as a magazine that is not at all 'industry,' in that we don't care about the marketing machine. We care about quality entertainment and not about being fed what other people think our readers should like."

Parlez Entertainment magazine will be a monthly publication distributed in South and South West Florida's Hollywood Video stores, Big Lots, and Regal Cinemas, as well as to subscribers. Utilizing the power of the Internet at, will also serve as a consumer's entertainment guide for African-American readers between publications. Parlez will feature reviews for movies, books, theater, sports, television shows, restaurants, concerts and more, while also providing the reader with sneak peaks, interviews, and "behind the scenes" features.
