FrontierPharmacies.com, Launches a Relief Program to Get Much Needed Supplies to Thailand, India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka

Fort Lauderdale Online Pharmacy-based company, FrontierPharmacies.com, is launching a relief program (www.FrontierPharmaciesRelief.org) to get these much needed supplies to Thailand, India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka, where millions of homeless women, children, and men are rummaging through mud and ruins looking for loved ones, food and clean water.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) January 6, 2005 -- The United Nations is now warning that Asia's tsunami death toll could double to about 300,000 unless survivors get clean water and other basic medical supplies by the end of the week to prevent disease.

Fort Lauderdale Online Pharmacy-based company, FrontierPharmacies.com, is launching a relief program www.FrontierPharmaciesRelief.org to get these much needed supplies to Thailand, India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka, where millions of homeless women, children, and men are rummaging through mud and ruins looking for loved ones, food and clean water.

Frontier Pharmacies fears that outbreaks of malaria and cholera from rotting bodies, garbage, and stagnant water - in addition to untreated injuries caused by the lack of medical aid and nutritional supplements - will trigger thousands of more deaths if immediate actions aren't taken.

Online pharmacy FrontierPharmacies.com through its website www.FrontierPharmaciesRelief.org Tsunami Relief Effort is collecting donations to buy medical products from manufacturers and distribute them directly to the end users; thus eliminating any concerns of supplies ending up in the wrong hands. The supplies will go to reputable relief organizations endorsed and highly rated by the American Philanthropic Institute.

Michael Elmquist, head of U.N. relief efforts in Indonesia's Aceh province, said Wednesday, "I think we're more concerned that the image of it (donating) would hold people back from sending money because they fear the money would end up in the wrong pockets."

FrontierPharmaciesRelief.org is taking every measure to ensure all donations will arrive to their final destinations with confidence. Supplies that will be shipped include, but are not limited to: antibiotics, over-the counter medications, nutritional Supplements, IV Supplies/Tubing, Needles/Syringes, tape, gauzes, wound care products, etc. These procedures will be documented and posted at the web site for all to see, thus avoiding any questions of misappropriation of funds.

In this time of tragedy, charities around the globe are working together to save lives, comfort those in mourning and support the rebuilding of families and communities. It is time to do our part in the pharmaceutical industry, as we are in the position to provide victims with the dire medical materials they need, now.
