Pacific Shoreline Marathon Under New Ownership

After 25 years and over 1,000 events, Herb Massinger, owner of Race Pace Promotions and the Pacific Shoreline Marathon officially handed over race director responsibilities to long time event director Louise Weiner and ownership to Pacific Shoreline Marathon, LLC.

(PRWEB) January 10, 2005 -- Ms. Weiner has been managing and directing the Pacific Shoreline Marathon for the previous eight years. She will carry on the legacy and running tradition in Orange County as Executive Director under the ownership of Pacific Shoreline Marathon, LLC. Ms. Wiener said, After spending the last three months discussing the future plans for the Pacific Shoreline Marathon, I am more excited that ever to be part of this great event."

The team at Pacific Shoreline Marathon, LLC brings the additional resources necessary to make what has been a great success even better. New support for traffic control, event operations, sponsorship programs and, most important, improving the runner experience are all part of our plans." said Amy Tomchak, Managing Partner for Pacific Shoreline Marathon, LLC.

We are confident that the Pacific Shoreline Marathon will be bigger and better under its new promoter. The team at Pacific Shoreline Marathon, LLC has been very professional, enthusiastic, hard working and detail oriented... a combination that will make for a great marathon this upcoming Super Bowl Sunday. We anticipate the event will continue to grow in the future beyond its current 6,600 participants and become the premier event for runners and spectators in Orange County. What better place to run a marathon than along the beautiful shores of the Pacific Ocean in Surf City, USA." said Jim Engle, Community Services Director – City of Huntington Beach.

Registration for the 9th annual Pacific Shoreline Marathon, which takes place on Super Bowl Sunday February 6th, 2005, in Huntington Beach, CA. is now open. Participants and volunteers can obtain more information and register online at www.marathonrun.com.
