NetXposure Ships Image Portal X Version 3.5 -- Digital Asset Management Solution Built Specifically for Mac OS X

Commitment to Mac OS X platform is extended with QuickTime in latest version of Digital Asset Management software and development of a new application utilizing ‘Tiger technologies.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) January 12, 2005 -- NetXposure, Inc. today shipped the latest version of Image Portal X, a Web-based Digital Asset Management solution built specifically for Mac OS X. This solution provides creative and marketing professionals a centralized repository to store, organize, repurpose and distribute large libraries of digital files. In addition to a robust set of standard features, Version 3.5 of Image Portal X is highlighted by the use of QuickTime, powerful ACL-based permissions, preset searches, and expanded support of PDF and CMYK.

Also in development at NetXposure is a Digital Asset Management application that leverages Tigers Core Image and Core Video technology to accelerate filtering and processing. Search and indexing will also be enhanced with the use of Spotlight technology and the application is expected to ship in the first half of 2005.

Image Portal X draws on the strengths of Mac OS X, utilizing Apples QuickTime multimedia technology architecture to deliver a powerful and efficient solution for creative and marketing professionals," said Jason Wehling, NetXposure vice president of Technology.

"Image Portal X 3.5 is a great example of an application optimized to take advantage of the innovations in Mac OS X," said Ron Okamoto, Apples vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. Were looking forward to seeing NetXposure take advantage of the new technologies in Tiger to develop the next generation of ultra-fast, high-precision Digital Asset Management applications."
