Pressure Systems, Inc., manufacturer of KPSI™ Level and Pressure Transducers, now offers a new datasheet for the submersible Series 116 and 126 transducers, designed specifically for compatibility with Campbell Scientific® dataloggers.

The datasheet describes the transducer’s innovative ratiometric mV analog output that helps achieve a Total Error Band (TEB) accuracy of ±0.3% maintained over the compensated temperature range of 0 to 30°C (32 to 86ºF). This makes the transducers ideal for surface and groundwater level measurement and control applications, including well and surface water monitoring, soil remediation, and dewatering. The 6-page datasheet also outlines the transducer cable’s use of six wires for sensing the sensor bridge input voltage, which the datalogger uses to compensate for any deviations.

Pressure range specifications for the Series 116 and 126 transducers described in the datasheet include full scale level ranges from 10 to 230 ft H20 (3 to 70 m H20) with custom ranges available; proof pressure of 1.5x FS; and burst pressure of 2.0x FS. Other critical specifications included are static accuracy performance of ±0.10% FSO for the Model 126 and ±0.25% FSO for the Model 116; a total temperature range of -20 to 60°C (-4 to 140ºF) and millivolt output @ 5.0 VDC constant voltage excitation from 0.25 mV to 25 mV over the entire level range.

Detailed in the datasheet are design features including a 316 SS or optional titanium waterproof housing, Kevlar strength tensioning members to prevent cable elongation, and a unique, self-sealing water block feature in case of minor cuts or abrasions to the cable. The datasheet also provides information on moisture protection accessories and nose caps options as well as installation tips and ordering information.
