The BpTRU is an automated non-invasive blood pressure monitor that is reliable, accurate and easy to use. At the touch of a single button, the device automatically performs up to six measurements, discards the first reading and displays the average of the subsequent readings (systolic, diastolic and pulse rate). The interval of the readings (start to start) can be varied from 1 to 5 minutes depending on user preference as well as take a single point measurement. The device is approved for use on patients 3 years of age and older. The BpTRU has undergone validation tests and is a valuable alternative to currently used mercury and aneroid devices.
