Canadian Self Published Novel Wins Award

Imogene of the Pacific Kingdom which continues to maintain 4/5 star ranking on Amazon wins Allbook Reviews Editor's Choice Award in the Children's Fiction 2004 category. ISBN 0-9737177-1-8 or 141201642-8.

(PRWEB) January 19, 2005 -- Imogene of the Pacific Kingdom, by first time author Teresa Saari was chosen as the recipient by Allbooks Reviews, which is listed in the top 101 websites for writers by Writers Digest. Saari recently released book two in the series in December, entitled Dager of the Tasman Empire (ISBN 0-9737177-0-X), which has also received two 5 star reviews. Her most recent pursuit however, has been to encourage children to read, and she has shared her tips with listeners on radio stations across Canada. Her school visit campaign will begin in February, and she clearly states that unlike many authors, she doesn't charge fees. "Many schools simply don't have the budget allocated for author visits. The children shouldn't have to miss out on visiting with an author because the schools can't afford it. If by visiting with the children in the classrooms, I've encouraged one or two of them to pick up a book, any book: I feel as though I've done my job."

Both titles can be found at Coles, Smithbooks, Chapters and Indigo outlets in and around Edmonton, as well as at various other bookstores, such as Audrey's and Greenwood's Bookshoppe. In British Columbia they are available at Bolen Books in Victoria, The Little Shop of Novels in Chemainus, and Volume One Books in Duncan. They are also available for purchase on the author's website, via paypal.
