Former Job Board Executive Launches SEO Consulting Firm for Employers

Officially launching today, HRSEO.com hopes to capitalize on the growing importance and popularity of search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing strategies to help employers attract job candidates via the Internet.

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) January 25, 2005 -- Officially launching today, http://www.HRSEO.com hopes to capitalize on the growing importance and popularity of search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing strategies to help employers attract job candidates via the Internet.

"Search engines have become a key component in how job seekers find opportunities online," said Joel Cheesman, HRSEO's CEO. "Job sites have already figured that out. Just look at how many are buying paid placement on engines like Google and Yahoo! We'll help employers alleviate the middleman and attract job candidates directly to their own postings on their own corporate Web sites."

Cheesman knows a few things about job boards. He worked for E.span, a pioneer in the online employment industry, in the '90s, and has most recently worked for CareerBoard, a niche board targeting local employers in the midwest, as its director of e-marketing.

"Working in the industry for as many years as I did, I learned the tricks of the trade," Cheesman said. "I learned how job seekers behave. I learned the marketing secrets. Search engine optimization and marketing is the key strategy to drive traffic. I'm here to help direct employers leverage the same strategies.

"Newspapers and job boards won't tell employers their search engine marketing tips, because it creates competition for them. Google only has so many spots on their first page of results. Job sites don't want any of those spots to be occupied by their customers."

The site also offers an online recruitment blog that's updated regularly. It also has a free keyword tool that helps employers find out how many searches are done each month for a particular keyword phrase.

"My goal is to empower both employers and job seekers," added Cheesman. "Job boards in large part have become littered with poor job content and raided by third-party recruiters. As a result, job seekers are going directly to the employer's site. I want to help them find what they're searching."

In spite of all the money spent by large sites like Monster, HotJobs and CareerBuilder to raise brand awareness offline in the past, over 1 million searches are done each month for "jobs" online, according to WordTracker, an online solution that tracks the number of monthly searches.

"Put 100 people in front of a computer and tell them to find a job online. Eighty percent will go to Google, Yahoo! or MSN search," said Cheesman. "They don't go to Monster.com."

Headquartered in Cleveland, HRSEO helps employers of all sizes, in all areas, to leverage the power of search engine optimization and marketing for their online recruitment needs. For additional information, please visit http://www.HRSEO.com, e-mail info@hrseo.com or call 866.516.4334.
