Education Pioneers Launches Fellows Program in Boston

Education Pioneers, a nonprofit organization that trains and connects emerging educational leaders, is launching its Fellows Program in Boston in 2005.

(PRWEB) January 28, 2005

Education Pioneers will operate a full-time, ten-week summer program where talented graduate students in business, education, law, and policy intern with effective schools and education organizations, and train under existing education leaders. Over the course of the summer, Fellows will work on challenging projects for partner organizations and convene as a cohort for five training sessions, two weekend retreats, and regular networking events.

Sionainn Marcoux has been named the Managing Director of the Boston office of Education Pioneers. In this position, she will collaborate with education leaders and organizations in Boston to provide 10-15 emerging education leaders with a rigorous summer training program centered on practical work experience.

In 2004, Education Pioneers successfully piloted its Fellows Program in the San Francisco Bay Area. “Our inaugural program in the Bay Area was a resounding success due to the pioneering spirit of our fellows and partners. I am thrilled that Sionainn is leading our new site in Boston, where the same type of entrepreneurial energy is focused on improving student achievement,” said Scott Morgan, founder of Education Pioneers.

Graduate students interested in applying to the Fellows Program can find additional information at http://www.educationpioneers.org.
