Redmond, WA (PRWEB) January 31, 2005 -- Paradoxal Press is a new small-press publishing company which is focused on developing computer graphics, video game development and computer science titles. As well as the official launch of their website (www.ParadoxalPress.com), Paradoxal Press is seeking new or veteran authors to fill their 2005-2006 schedules.

The founder of Paradoxal Press, Sebastien St-Laurent holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Sherbrooke University in Québec (Canada) where he graduated at top of his class in 1999. Since then, he worked on many video game titles including: Space Invaders, Dave Mira Freestyle BMX, Dave Mira Freestyle BMX2, Aggressive Inline, BMX XXX. Sebastien is now currently employed with the Microsoft Corporation where he is a graphics developer for the Microsoft Game Studios. Sebastien St-Laurent is also a published author who has written Shaders for Game Programmers and Artists" and is currently working on his next title and doing some editorial work for the upcoming ShaderX4 book.

Sebastiens experience with traditional publishing for his first title was far from fulfilling and in the search to improve the publishing process, he founded Paradoxal Press, a new small-press publishing company with a different vision. The approach taken by Paradoxal Press is to release a limited number of high quality titles, working in tandem with authors thus sharing the creative production process.

Paradoxal Press is currently seeking new and veteran authors to fill its 2005-2006 lineups. The main topics of interest to Paradoxal Press are: Computer Graphics, Shader Development, General Programming, Avalon and WinFX. Any authors with manuscripts or proposals should contact Sebastien St-Laurent at sebastien.st.laurent@gmail.com.

Shaders for Game Programmers and Artists" is on sale at online at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1592000924 and can also be found in bookstores around the world including; Borders, Barnes & Noble and several other retailers worldwide.
