Stratopoint Software Releases Cleanerzoomer 2.0

Stratopoint Software releases Cleanerzoomer 2.0, an image processing tool combining digital image cleaning and enlarging abilities in one low-cost solution.

(PRWEB) January 30, 2005 -- Stratopoint Software releases Cleanerzoomer 2.0, the new version of the award-winning image processing tool combining digital image cleaning and enlarging abilities in one low-cost solution ($35/E25).

Digital artifacts is a common problem when it comes to printing or publishing digital images, especially those that were heavily compressed. Digital photos made in dark conditions often show strong graininess and bright "hot pixels" when the brightness is increased. Small images look blurry when enlarged using standard methods and in the most cases the common ways of sharpening do not give much.

Cleanerzoomer has been made with an intention to make a toolbox for processing various low-quality graphics. Cleanerzoomer is able to adjust color balance, levels and gamma automatically, it can clean photo noise, JPEG artifacts, moire, color banding and other uniform artifacts, remove hot pixels or other object-like artifacts. Also, using the same technology, it is able to enlarge images and make them sharp so that objects' edges that looked sharp before enlarging will remain absolutely sharp.

Cleanerzoomer consists of five main functions: Auleanga (advanced automatic color and brightness correction), Noise/JPEG Blockiness Removal (high-quality removal of uniform artifacts), Fine Artifacts Removal (removal of object-like artifacts), Resample and Weighted Sharpen. The last two functions can work together: Weighted Sharpen is called and pre-adjusted automatically once the resampling is finished. All the functions are highly configurable allowing to achieve the best results possible for each particular image, also there is a number of default presets available for each function.

The Noise/JPEG Blockiness Removal function uses the high-quality multi-pass approach with average-difference correction of cleaning diameters to remove artifacts very accurately keeping even subtle details intact. Fine Artifacts Removal requires a "dirty spot": sample of artifact needed to be removed; such approach makes the function very flexible. The Resample function can use the highest-quality Lanczos-4 algorithm for enlarging images. Weighted Sharpen uses the weight estimation approach with average-difference correction of diameters giving very sharp and naturally-looking results, additional naturalness can be added using the Scatter option which is especially useful for paintings.

Cleanerzoomer is easy enough to be used by beginners and has a lot of options for graphics professionals, it can be used by digital photographers, web-designers as well as publishing houses and professional designers.
