Lorman Education Services presents "Developing Behavioral Plans For Aggressive Children" seminar on November 16, 2005.

This "Developing Behavioral Plans For Aggressive Children" seminar focuses on acquiring knowledge and practical application skills for working with aggressive students.

Participants will acquire knowledge and practical application skills for working with aggressive students. Seminar participants will be able to apply the principles of applied behavior analysis to accomplish a variety of objectives.

Dr. Traci Williams is a certified school psychologist and has a teaching certificate with Maricopa Community College District. Her educational background includes a B.A. degree in psychology with a minor in Spanish, and an M.A. degree in educational psychology with specialization in educational measurement and methodology from the University of Arizona. She earned a second M.A. degree and a Ph.D. degree in educational psychology with specialization in school psychology from Arizona State University. Dr. Williams has worked as an afterschool program director for a social service agency whose target population was at-risk youth. She has also worked as a mental health specialist, a prevention specialist and a rehabilitation therapist for various local agencies that provide services for children with special needs. Her experience includes homebound counseling services, and consultation and educational assessment in the general education, resource, self-contained classroom settings. Professional affiliations include the American Psychological Association and the National Association of Black Psychologists.

Jessica Turner, M.Ed., is a certified special education teacher with endorsements in the areas of specific learning disabilities, emotional disabilities and mental retardation. Her other certifications include educational diagnostician and, previously, a school psychometrist. Mrs. Turner is also highly qualified in the area of English. Her public service in education spans 30 years in the states of Alabama, South Carolina, Texas and Arizona. Her classroom experiences include self-contained, residential and resource settings. Her professional affiliations include the Council for Exceptional Children (CASE Division), and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Mrs. Turner received B.S. and M.Ed. degrees from Tuskegee University, and matriculated at Auburn University, the University of South Carolina, Converse College, South West Texas State University and the University of Phoenix. Mrs. Turner is currently employed as a noncategorical secondary special education teacher in Tempe Union High School District, where she teaches sophomore English, and basic and consumer mathematics. She serves on the Instructional Strategies Committee (subcommittee of the School Improvement Plan). Mrs. Turner's distinguishable awards include two nominations for teaching excellence in Texas (1986-1987) and Arizona (2003-2004). Mrs. Turner was a site coordinator during the standardization of the Stanford-Binet - Fifth Edition, and Wechsler Primary and Preschool Scale of Intelligence – Third Edition.

This one-day seminar is designed for special education teachers and directors, school counselors, psychologists, teachers, behavior specialists, administrators, principals, superintendents, case managers, board members, social workers and attorneys.
