International Osteoperosis Foundation Launch Celebrity PSA campaign
Using Shootyou video production based in England, IOF has been video recording celebrities internationally. They've each dislosed how Osteoperosis has touched their lives
(PRWEB) October 1, 2005 -- In September Shootyou began producing twelve public service announcements for the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF). Working with Weber Shandwick, this -pro bono- work has involved us filming celebrities internationally such as footballer Paulo Rossi and nationally, 'The Bill's' Trudie Goodwin.
Each PSA has one person talking about how osteoporosis has personally affected their lives. The disease can be devastating especially in the third world where dietary requirements (milk, vegetables) are not met during childhood; this has repercussions for bone structure in later life. The tag line of each PSA 'Move it or Lose it' refers to the simple way in which all of us can easily offset the disease by performing regular, weight bearing, exercise.
PSA's relevant to specific countries will be shown on local TV and cinema. Copies will also be provided to National Osteoporosis Societies which will be streamed from their websites. A montage of all the PSA's will be collated for World Osteoporosis Day Oct 20 th in Bangkok and the following year in Toronto.
Recording PSA's has proved a relatively cost effective way for IOF to get their message across. As the focus switches slightly from nutrition to prevention in 2006-7 PSA's will still be in the promotional mix.
