Appalachian Trail Documentary to Donate Amazon.com Proceeds to Virginia Arc Foundation
Director Michael Daniel walks 100 miles for Arc's cause and donates proceeds from his film 'Walking with Freedom' to charity which aides people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
(PRWEB) October 1, 2005 -- Producers Michael Daniel and David Burrows announced plans to donate proceeds from their Appalachian Trail documentary, "Walking with Freedom" to Arc's cause during the first ten days of October.
Daniel and others began their hike from Falls Church on Saturday and will arrive in Richmond October 1st to meet with other members of Arc and the Governor of Virginia at the State Capitol. "We're hoping this walk will raise public awareness about the needs of people with disabilities and about the role state government plays in financing mental retardation services in local communities."
Daniel also invited people to go to Amazon.com and purchase the 90-minute DVD this week where 100% of those sales will go to support Arc.
