Got Kids? Expand Their Imaginations with Arts-n-Kids Club Memberships

The newly launched Arts-n-Kids Club website gives parents an easy, affordable way to give children the delight of receiving ongoing mail, and the opportunity to expand their creativity with age-appropriate, hands-on projects.

Wadsworth, Ohio (PRWEB) October 4, 2005 -- Arts-n-Kids Club has officially opened for business, providing even the busiest and least creative parents with an easy way to bring art into their childrens lives -- and to spend more quality time with their children. An off-shoot of Brilliant Kids, a retail store and creative play studio in Wadsworth, Ohio, the Arts-n-Kids website sells monthly arts and crafts projects kits, affordably priced, full of everything children need - from glue to instructions to paintbrushes - to make four crafts.

Just add scissors," says Steve Podielsky, co-owner of the site and the store along with his wife, Robin. They were inspired to create Arts-n-Kids while observing their three-year old son carry around a birthday card hed received from a toy store for weeks on end.

Though there was nothing he could actually do with the card, he loved it," explains Mr. Podielsky. I realized that if we could create a way for kids to receive mail that would expand their imaginations and feed their creativity, too, we could make a lot of kids very happy."

Inspiration about how to make parents happy came from comments they overheard in their store, Brilliant Kids. Ms. Podielsky, who is also a Kindermusik Educator, explains, Parents and other caregivers can hit walls in coming up with something constructive for their kids to do day in and day out, and not everyone can afford pricey activities.

This is a no-nonsense purchase that only costs $19.99 a month -- and even less for longer subscriptions. You can do the crafts with your child weekly at your convenience, creating not only quality crafts, but togetherness and memories as well."

Mr. Podielsky adds, Plus, the instructions are intentionally parent-friendly. I tell people that these kits are so easy, even Dads can do them -- and have fun with their children."

Kits are age specific (ages 3-4, 5-8 and 9-12), are gender specific and are tested in the Brilliant Kids shop to ensure that they appropriately challenge, engage and entertain the children who put them together. When the kids eyes light up as they get gluey and messy for a bit, we know were on to something," says Robin. And they light up even more when doing a craft with parents or other special adults."

A four-color newsletter to encourage reading and stimulate thinking completes the kit. It features poems, riddles, animal of the month, a story about the crafts and more. Says Mr. Podielsky, "Every time a child picks up a crayon or reads, hes being stimulated to explore possibilities and be creative. Those opportunities are priceless."
