United To Build Better Communities

BALTIMORE (PRWEB) October 30, 2005 -- Improving Everything We Touch-Some people will call tha a motto- for others, it's a goal. For The United Nation of Islam (UNOI)-it is a daily reality.

The UNOI, a separate and non-related to the similar sounding Nation of Islam.

The UNOI has developed a tested and proven system for revitalizing dilapidated communities: teach people civilization (how to properly treat oneself and others); how to think mathematically factually); and then - give them a place to practice.

A great example is what has been accomplished in Kansas City, Kansas. In 1996, the UNOI went to a blighted area of Kansas City,
Kansas and within 3 years, utilizing only limited resources and the volunteer services of members, developed a supermarket, bakery, gas station, wellness center, diner, housing, a construction company, men’s clothing store, laundromat, a national transportation system and university – all of which are open to the community. The effects have been: reduced crime, safer streets, improved real estate values and the great intangibles of inspiration and hope to a distressed community.

Kansas is the starting point of what the UNOI is accomplishing across this country. The United Nation of Islam is already in PG
County with administrative offices in Capitol Heights and a carryout called Food for Life located in Suitland – open to the
community serving wholesome food and is one of the extended classrooms - providing a place to practice civilization and right
thinking. The UNOI teaches how to provide food clothing and shelter for self through these extended classrooms across the country.

When you are faced with poverty, drugs, and / or natural disasters in a community, people can be taught the method of self-help to
improve everything around them – uniting to build better communities, improving everything they touch.

Community leaders and citizens dedicated to community uplifting will want to attend the UNOI’s upcoming Royal Sunday Musical Brunch on Sunday, October 30, 2005 from 12noon – 5pm at Martin’s West in Baltimore, MD. The keynote speaker is Royall, Spiritual Head of the United Nation of Islam. This is a ticketed tax deductible event. For ticket information, call 1-443-877-0466.

For more information , visit our website at unoi.org or contact us at 1-800-331-7668.

Royall is available for radio and television interviews.
