Two UGA Students Receive AiMA Scholarships
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 5, 2005 -- The Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association (AiMA) announced the winners of its 2005 scholarship program today. Elizabeth Bender and Katherine Erbs, both students at The University of Georgia, are this year's AiMA scholarship winners. Each student received a $1,500 scholarship.
The scholarship winners competed with two other college students who participated in AiMAs 2005 Summer Internship Program, paid internship positions at some of Atlantas premiere interactive marketing agencies.
AiMAs scholarship board received more than 40 applications from students who attend local colleges and universities, including American Intercontinental University, the Atlanta College of Art, the Art Institute of Atlanta, Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, Oglethorpe University, the University of Georgia, and the University of West Georgia.
"Our goal is to provide financial assistance and hands-on experience for talented students," said AiMA Scholarship Board chairman Chris Knoch, "and encourage this homegrown talent to stay in Atlanta after graduation."
The Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association (AiMA) is a non-profit professional association dedicated to innovation in interactive marketing among brand marketers, publishers and agencies through educational and networking events. Founded in 1999, AiMA provides professional development, promotes best practices, and creates a forum of the discussion of new ideas and critical business issues.
