Legendary guitarist Phil Keaggy will give a benefit concert for Buffalo's St. Luke's Mission of Mercy this October

Phil Keaggy is coming to Western New York with his band for two concerts this October. Keaggy, who had rock success with his band Glass Harp in the early 1970s, is known for performing solo acoustic sets, so the addition of a full band for his Western New York performances is a rare opportunity to hear this legendary singer-songwriter-musician backed by several other instruments.

The concerts are sponsored by Kingdom Bound Ministries of Buffalo, the same organization that puts on the annual Kingdom Bound Christian music festival at Six Flags Darien Lake amusement park and camping resort.

Phil Keaggy and Band will present concerts at 7:30pm on Friday, October 28, at Roberts Wesleyan Cultural Life Center, 2301 Westside Dr., Rochester, and at 7pm on Saturday, October 29, at the Riviera Theater, 67 Webster St., in North Tonawanda, a suburb of Buffalo. Proceeds from the Buffalo concert benefit St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy, a place that ministers to the downtrodden and unfortunate on Buffalo’s impoverished East Side.

Tickets for Keaggy’s concerts are $15 general admission/$20 artist circle, and can be obtained at their respective venues, at various Christian bookstores in Western New York, or by calling Kingdom Bound at 800-461-4485. All seats are reserved. For more information, visit
