Las Vegas Appraisal Firm Looks Back on 10 Years of Success in the Las Vegas Real Estate Market

Appraisers of Las Vegas.com celebrates its 10th anniversary and looks back on how much the Las Vegas real estate market has exploded in the past decade.

Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) October 6, 2005 -- Appraisers of Las Vegas.com has been appraising real estate in Las Vegas more and more each year for 10 years.

Appraisers of Las Vegas.com is now celebrating its 10th anniversary, and taking a moment to look back on how much the Las Vegas real estate market has exploded in the last decade.

We aim to increase the quality and level of service to remain number one for the coming 10 years.
"Las Vegas seems to have doubled in size and some properties have quintupled in value since we started here 10 years ago. The median home price has increased 96% in the last four years alone. Most properties have looked the same for 10 years but as an appraiser I have seen their values change drastically. That's why an appraisal from an experienced and qualified appraiser is so important," said Don Foster Scoggins, president of Appraisers of Las Vegas.com.

Since starting the real estate appraisal business, Scoggins has watched the casinos multiply along the Las Vegas strip. In turn, the casino industry growth has required more workers -- who need housing. That demand for workers, combined with the growth of 5,000 new residents a month, has fueled a major housing boom. Consequently, Las Vegas land prices have skyrocketed under the pressure to build new residential subdivisions, casinos and high-rise properties.

Scoggins credits his staff and many experienced real estate appraisers with the ability to keep up with the heady Las Vegas real estate market. Appraisers of Las Vegas.com has over 30 state-licensed and certified real estate appraisers and an office staff of six. Combined, the appraisers have about 400 years experience. That has enabled the firm to handle the appraisal of residential real estate around the state of Nevada, including Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Clark County and Southern Nevada.

Appraisers of Las Vegas.com has completed appraisals of houses, condominiums, custom homes, estates, subdivisions, apartments, mobile home parks, convalescent care homes, office buildings, industrial buildings, industrial parks, retail buildings, all types of land, hotels, motels, casinos, truckstops, racetracks/racinos, mini-storage facilities, convenience stores with gas sales, restaurants, billboards, churches and special use properties.

Appraisers of Las Vegas.com, which has the slogan of "We appraise houses to high-rises and condos to casinos," has handled many one-of-a-kind properties during the last 10 years, including:

*   The only underground home in Las Vegas. This 15,000-square Cold War-era home had a house built over it with faux trees and rocks to hide the underground home's ventilation system.

*   A palace owned by genuine Middle Eastern royalty. The compound of more than 10 acres included about 100,000-square feet of living area with guest houses. And the guest houses also had their own pools and guest houses.

*   Billboards, casinos, airplane hangers and even Las Vegas wedding chapels.

"Our focus is on service. A 6-person office staff is unusual for most appraisal companies. I believe that's part of the reason why Appraisers of Las Vegas.com has been named as the top Las Vegas appraisal company in the real estate appraisal issue of 'In Business Las Vegas' for three years in a row," said Scoggins. "We aim to increase the quality and level of service to remain number one for the coming 10 years."
