Merchants Barter Exchange Opens 7 More Locations - 10 More To Open Next Month; Company Growth Plan Now Ahead Of Schedule
MBE To Have 36 Locations By Year End
Morristown, N.J. (PRWEB) October 7, 2005 -- MBE president Steve Bolles announced today that the second oldest national barter exchange in America is still growing as seven new offices opened this month in Atlanta, Miami, Indianapolis, Buffalo, Oakland, Nashville, Atlanta, and Raleigh, through their new licensing program that kicked off three months ago.
Another ten locations across the nation are slated to open in November including Detroit, San Francisco, Montreal, St. Louis, Orlando, Los Angeles, Chicago, Tucson, Cleveland, and Baltimore. “Our goal is to have 36 locations in major markets open by the end of the year and we're almost there”. Although MBE has it's roots in the Northeast with over 10,000 goods and services available to it's massive merchant base on the Atlantic coast, the company is now on a mission to establish major national expansion focused on commercial enterprises and Fortune 500 companies, 62% of which engaged in barter on a regular basis in 2004.
MBE was the first U.S. national barter exchange to expand into Canada and Mexico with staffed offices in Toronto and Mexico City. "We are the real deal - NOT just an internet facade with a huge web site that seldom delivers what they promise" added Bolles. Over the next year, MBE hopes to complete it's national expansion with a total of 48 offices major market across North America before expanding sales and marketing overseas. “By this time next year it is my objective to process $500,000,000 of barter transactions annually” added Bolles who together with his wife Marta started MBE in 1998 as a family business.
While there are over 500 barter exchanges in North America, only three of them are focused exclusively on commercial enterprises. MBE is also the only such exchange to offer pure barter (no cash required) and performance guarantee to its merchants. While most barter exchanges provide nothing more than introductory services between buyer and sellers, MBE actually does the “price shopping” and transacts the trades through it's proprietary automated software. 15 full-time traders process an average of 1,200 barter transactions per day at present. “With our latest expansion, I expect this number to double within a few weeks” beamed Bolles.
MBE just last month announced that their proprietary “Intertrade” global bartering software that employs artificial intelligence is undergoing final stages of Beta testing and should be ready for market sometime in 2006. This automated software is long awaited by the Fortune 500 segment of the barter market, which must currently undergo an onerous and tedious process of transacting international barter deals manually with documentation that seems endless at times.
MBE is a privately-owned company based in Morristown, NJ that offers exclusive licensing opportunities throughout North America and soon around the globe. For more information about joining the growing MBE family, please call 212-572-6316 for an application and details.
