ORA, a new restaurant in Morristown has opened its doors this week. Brothers Francis and Jeffrey Falivene of Pinnacle Restarant Group have left manhattan and are testing the waters in New Jersey.

ORA, a new restaurant in Morristown will open its doors this week and release its menu to their biggest critics…their guests.

ORA is a contemporary American restaurant owned by brothers Jeffrey and Francis Falivene of Pinnacle Restaurant Group. After years of working in Manhattan, the duo decided to take their chances in New Jersey.

“We hope to offer something different,” says Francis, owner and Executive Chef, “Morristown is so full of life and we’re excited to be a part of it.” ORA, which took the place of South Street Trattoria, is located on South Street and Pine directly next door to the Community Theatre.

Over the past few weeks, the duo has been renovating and making upgrades. “We hope to improve service and present our guests with something new and refreshing”, says Jeffrey, Owner and Director of Operations. The primary goal at ORA is to produce a dining experience of the highest quality.

The cuisine is built mainly on Italian, French and Spanish techniques, although you do see other cultural influences. For instance, the Soy glazed wild salmon served with braised bok choy in a hibiscus veloute.

Like an artist uses many colors to bring life to his canvas, Francis uses ingredients to bring life to our palate. The philosophy at ORA is easy and straight forward - use the best local ingredients as simply as possible and serve them with flourish and joy. The menu changes seasonally, insuring continuous quality and freshness.

Owning restaurants has been a dream for both Francis and Jeffrey since grammar school. This team has the perfect ingredient for any restaurant. Francis has a love for creating food and unbelievable talent, while Jeffrey is passionate about hospitality and accommodating guests. Together, they feel that owning a restaurant is not only about serving great food, but about creating an experience for their guests in all aspects.

ORA is open for lunch Monday-Saturday 11:30am-3:00pm, for dinner, Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-10:00pm, Friday & Saturday 5:00pm-11:00pm, Sunday 5:00pm-9:00pm. Sunday Brunch 11:00am-3:00pm.
