Way back in 1999 auctionpix.co.uk was launched as a basic image host for eBay. Over the coming years, its popularity grew and new functionality was continually added to meet the requirements of its extensive user base, making the site Europe's largest eBay service provider.

Sections of the existing website (auctionpix)included not only many eBay services, but also a financial services section allowing its user base an easy way to facilitate cross border payments in a secure and economical environment.

As the financial services side grew, new functionality was continually added, its user base extended beyond its core of eBay users, and thus 'demanded' a stand alone website to cater efficiently and effectively for the ever growing marketplace, and thus Auctionchex.com was created.

Auctionchex believes it is the only website worldwide that offers a currency exchange service for the encashment of USD, GBP and Euro 'paper' payments, also included is a multi currency peer to peer Escrow service, an International Payments service, and its new Hyperwallet section.

It is hoped that the new website with added functionality will help to extend its user base to a wider audience including emerging marketplaces such as South Africa, as auctionchex now has Rand (ZAR) as an acceptable currency, an internet first.
