Parents who are relocating to the Orlando area have a new resource at their disposal when it comes to deciding their children’s educational choices. (PRWEB) October 10, 2005 -- Parents who are relocating to the Orlando area have a new resource at their disposal when it comes to deciding their children’s educational choices.

The Central Florida Education Guide is currently being distributed to area real estate relocation professionals, libraries, chambers of commerce, public schools and private schools in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake counties.

“We’re excited about being able to provide Central Florida parents with a tool such as the Central Florida Education Guide,” said Mike Clements, president of Clements Publishing Company, publisher of the Guide. “We publish the Guide to help provide relocation professionals a resource that helps them answer the No. 1 question parents ask when moving to a new area: ‘How are the local schools?’ and ‘What choices do I have for my kids in terms of education?’”

The Central Florida Education Guide provides a comprehensive look at each public school district in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake counties and includes such key success indicators as dropout rates, graduation rates and school district annual budgets. The Guide includes lists of private schools and details the diverse programs they offer in each county. Another section of the Guide includes listings of public libraries, post-secondary schools, and colleges and universities.

The Guide also helps parents understand various standardized tests, such as the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test.

“We pay great attention to the details involved with the FCAT in order to provide parents with a user-friendly format where they can review FCAT scores,” Clements said. “Each year, we receive numerous comments from thankful readers of our Northeast Florida Education Guide who tell us ‘Now FCAT makes sense’.”

Clements Publishing Co. has been publishing the Northeast Florida Education Guide for nine years where it has grown to be the premier resource on the public and private schools in Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Nassau and Baker counties. Based in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., Clements Publishing also publishes relocation guides for such clients as Watson Realty in Orlando, the Jacksonville-based Prudential Network Realty and Prudential Palms Realty in Sarasota.
