Tantus Networks™, a full-service wireless network integration firm in downtown Chicago, announced today that is moving forward with plans to roll out more than 500 free wireless Internet “Hotspots” throughout downtown Chicago and surrounding areas.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 10, 2005 -- Tantus Networks™, a full-service wireless network integration firm in downtown Chicago, announced today that is moving forward with plans to roll out more than 500 free wireless Internet “Hotspots” throughout downtown Chicago and surrounding areas.
According to sources, the Hotspot service provided by Tantus, dubbed WiFlux™, will not only be free to end-users, but also to venue operators. Revenues from the service will be generated through targeted advertising from strategic Tantus partners, and from local businesses to the more than 20,000 expected daily users of the Hotspot service.
“The service is going to be very community-oriented, allowing host venues to market their own products and services, while attracting more visitors, who will stay longer, to their locations. For the last few years, we have been working on ways to provide wireless access for free.” remarked David Wieland, President. “We’re very excited about this program and look forward to rolling it out in our great city.”
Tantus already services more than 350 hotel wireless networks nationwide with its InnFlux™ hospitality Internet access service, but intends to expand into the free hotspot market beginning with the Chicago initiative.
Tantus Networks is one of the largest wireless Internet network operators in the Midwest. For more information on Tantus, visit www.tantusnetworks.com.
