Grant Writing Workshop in El Paso, TX

The Grant Network will hold an intensive 3-day grant proposal writing workshop at El Paso Community College.

(PRWEB) October 9, 2005 -- The Grant Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to delivering nationwide professional grant writing instruction. The Grant Network's Grant Writing Workshop teaches students the skills necessary to master the art of successful proposal writing. Students in this workshop are taught how grant source research, effective program planning, grant proposal writing, funder relations, and program development. The Grant Network gives workshop attendees a holistic view of the grant process from the conceptualization of a funding idea to maintaining

Day One topics include grant source research, effective program planning through the use of a program blueprint, and budget construction. Here students learn about Requests for Proposals (RFP’s), identifying good prospect matches, types of grant sources, successful outcome objectives, and program evaluation methods. Day Two topics focus on the analysis and in-class writing of each element of a grant proposal. This workshop offers each student the opportunity to write a sample proposal and receive individualized feedback. Students are asked to bring material relevant to their individual programs in order to facilitate the writing of a sample proposal. Day Three includes the conclusion and review of individual proposals, concluding with grant administration and organizational strategies.    

Each day of the workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at approximately 5:30 p.m. Tuition for the workshop is $499. For group registrations of four or more, each group member receives a discounted tuition of $449. Faculty and staff of the hosting institution receive a discounted tuition of $449. Workshop attendees receive unlimited personalized grant source research, all required course materials, a course certificate, and The Grant Network Resource CD with over 98 funded sample proposals. Early registration is recommended as class size is limited to 30 students.
