Auriga Laboratories Names Pharmaceutical Industry Leader as CEO
The pharmaceutical industry veteran will lead Auriga Laboratories in the development and marketing of new prescription drugs.

Mr. Amato brings more than 15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience to this position. In his most recent position, he served as president and CEO of a leading pharmaceutical marketing services company where he led a successful turnaround resulting in revenue growth of more than 100 percent and 27 consecutive months of profitability. As an executive at Glaxo Wellcome (now known as GlaxoSmithKline), he formerly spent nearly a decade in sales, marketing and strategic business analysis. Mr. Amato has extensive experience in the planning and execution of successful product launches and commercialization. He has worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing and managed care, as well as pharmaceutical marketing services.
In addition to his duties related to leading and managing the operations of Auriga Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Amato will also sit on the board of directors to ensure that the company has the resources and optimal strategic relationships for maximizing company value.
