This combination of materials provides an excellent acoustical and thermal insulation envelope for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
QUIET BARRIER™ is a flexible 2lb Acoustic Vinyl Barrier. This high density material with a smooth surface designed to reduce noise transmission between two spaces. QUIET BARRIER™ is available with a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) for an easy peel and stick application. QUIET BARRIER™ is a superior sound blocking material that can be used for loud noise, especially in the mid and lower ranges such as voices, music and heavy bass. This material blocks 80% – 85% of airborne sound (When installed correctly.) 1/4 inch thick, 2 lb. per sq. ft.
Ultra Touch is an acoustic and thermal insulation made from high quality natural cotton fibers. Not only is this dense, flexible product extremely effective as a sound / noise absorber, it also acts as a very effective thermal insulator with R-values of 13 and 19. Ultra Touch is a Class-A building material that meets or exceeds the highest ASTM testing standards for fire and smoke ratings, fungi resistance and corrosiveness. This environmentally friendly product does not contain Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) or chemical irritants. Ultra Touch contains 85% post-industrial recycled, natural fibers and is considered a high quality, sustainable / green building material. Does not itch and is easy to handle with no tools required.
