Barry's Boxing Brings Two National Champions Home to Las Vegas

After a week of high intensity competition in Oxnard California Barry's Boxing brings home two P.A.L. National Champions. Louie Padilla won the 106lb Open Division Championship Belt, and Jessie Vargas won the 132lb J.O. Championship Belt.

(PRWEB) October 12, 2005 -- The P.A.L. Nationals were held in Oxnard California this past week, October 2-9. The best amateur boxers from around the country came to compete and try to take home the Championship. Nevada brought home two champions, both from Barry's Boxing in Las Vegas.
    
In the 106lb Open Division Louie Padilla boxed several times and won convincingly over the number one and two boxers in the country in that weight class. I guess we know who's number one now. This was Louies first four round open competition and he showed he has the skill and the drive to go all the way.
    
In the 132 J.O. Division Jessie Vargas dominated every match he was in. Several time his opponents we almost stopped because they were out scored and out classed. This was Jessie's second National Title. Just last July Jessie won the Golden Gloves Championships and Best Boxer Award in Chattanooga TN.
    
Both boxers are on top of their game, and say that the expert coaching they receive at Barry's Boxing is the reason why. Head Coaches Pat Barry and Augie Sanchez are very proud of their boxers and look forward to taking them to the 2008 Olympics.
