Creating An Online Community: A Panel Discussion With OnMilwaukee and MilwaukeeMoms.

The Milwaukee Interactive Marketing Association (www.milwaukeeima.org) will host a lunchtime panel discussion with questions and answers on building a “community” based website and individual publishing.

MILWAUKEE (PRWEB) October 12, 2005 -- The Milwaukee Interactive Marketing Association (www.milwaukeeima.org) will host a lunchtime panel discussion with questions and answers on building a “community” based website and individual publishing.

What is an online community? What does it mean to be a web publisher? On October 27 come to a panel discussion hosted by MIMA to find out how communities are created and nurtured.

Bob Fichtner of the Dieringer Research Group will present information gleaned from primary research on what consumers and readers view as “local” content that matters. Dieringer is best known in the interactive industry for their hallmark Web2Store annual survey of online consumer shopping behavior. Copies of the research will be available.

Each panelist brings experience building targeted online community audiences and creating a marketplace. The format will be a brief introduction by Bob Fichtner that will be followed by an opening comment from each panelist and then an open floor question and answer session. Panelists will answer questions on the nuts and bolts of how and why they’ve been successful.

  • Every attendee will receive the research packet, guidelines to producing a successful community site, and contacts and examples of locally produced sites
