Bucharest, Romania (PRWEB) October 13, 2005 -- This year, twenty six Romanian companies will exhibit at the fourth edition of the largest and most widely recognized outsourcing event in the USA, OutsourceWorld New York 2005, on October 18th and 19th, 2005.

The Romanian Pavilion has been organized by the Romanian Association for the Electronic and Software Industry (ARIES), an industry association with over 380 members and offices throughout the country, and by the Romanian Ministry of Economy, Department for Foreign Trade. The exhibitors provide a wide range of services including IT services, product engineering and R&D, business process outsourcing and call center management.

Romania has become the hottest East European market for technology investment and trade. Some of the reasons include:

  • A large, growing and well-qualified technical labor pool. Romania has more engineering graduates per capita than the United States, 2X more than Russia, 7X more than India and 12X more than China;
  • Successful foreign investment including R&D centers from technology leaders such as Oracle, Freescale, Alcatel and Siemens, and investments by Intel Capital and Microsoft;
  • Excellent foreign language skills including 60% English proficiency, large pools of French and Italian speakers, and a large population of near-native German speakers;
  • Booming domestic demand for IT. According to the European IT Observatory, Romania's 2004 IT demand was greater than €3.6 billion and grew at more than 20%, twice the rate of the next fastest expanding economy in Europe;
  • Hospitable business environment for IT companies including a low flat rate corporate income tax, exemption of investment-related hardware and software purchases from customs duties, and exemption of software developer headcount from all personal income and payroll withholding taxes;
  • A tradition of excellence in engineering and mathematics, which includes more prizes in international design competitions than any nation except China, the United States and the former USSR.

OutsourceWorld New York is the most important learning and networking platform in the US for the outsourcing sector, attracting a mix of thought leaders, analysts, practitioners and top level executives. It will take place at the Metropolitan Pavilion in central Manhattan and will consist of a two day exhibition and a two day conference. It has been designed to give visitors a complete and objective understanding of how this rapidly changing sector is affecting the global economy.

“OutourceWorld is an excellent opportunity for us to present Romania’s strengths to the US market. We believe that Romania is an attractive market to a wide range of US companies including large multinationals, small and medium firms, and venture investors,” said Florin Vrejoiu, Executive Vice-President, ARIES - Romanian Association for Electronic and Software Industry.

Press kits and complimentary conference passes will be available for qualified analysts and members of the press. Please contact us or visit at the Romanian pavilion (booth #13).
