Successful San Francisco Designer Helen Olds Launches Solo Collection at LA Fashion Week

Introducing for Spring 2006 HelenO, a new collection by Helen Olds to launch at P.KaBu fashion series in downtown Los Angeles. This collection of women’s contemporary dresses and separates was inspired about the glamour and freedom of the 1970’s.

This collection of women’s contemporary dresses and separates was inspired about the glamour and freedom of the 1970’s. The time is right to embrace the 1970’s the way the 50’s and 60’s have been in seasons past.

After teaming up with a business partner and successfully launching her line under the name SHOC, which sold to over 30 specialty boutiques across the US and Canada, Helen Olds has returned to debut her solo collection. She will launch this collection of women’s contemporary dresses and separates and the upcoming LA Fashion Week. She will be showing with 11 other California designers with P.KaBu, a fast-rising fashion series featuring independent designers. This season’s P.KaBu show is unique in that they are adding a trunk show as part of the event. HelenO will be the only Northern California designer present. The event will take place October 21, 2005 at 3pm at the Twin Springs Building, 433 S. Spring Street in downtown Los Angeles.

Helen Olds will also be showing in China three weeks later as part of the Humen International Fashion Fair. Helen was selected to be one of three American designers to present their collections to the Chinese fashion community at this huge tradeshow in Humen, China. Helen’s keen eye for colors and fabrics as well as her attention to the fit of her garments, are sure to make this rising star get noticed in the years to come!
