A Breakthrough in Primary School Visual Analysis, MotionCoach.com PrimaryVision

New PrimaryVision from motioncoach.co.uk answers the primary schools demands for a special visual analysis product.

(PRWEB) October 13, 2005 -- For several years Primary school teachers have sought the benefits of Visual Analysis, but until now, products have not addressed the unique demands of this stage of learning.

Visual analysis has a key role in developing students’ physical motor skills, critical, in the Primary school years. Prior to PrimaryVision, all systems have been geared to A level students, providing a multitude of complex features making them unusable and too time consuming for Primary Schools.

Ken Caudrelier, MotionCoach UK Marketing Director states: “For some time we have been studying the issues faced by Primary School teachers. We have been working with our developers to repackage complex technology and make it simple and intuitive.”

Several unique problems faced by Primary schools and their teachers make it difficult to effectively introduce visual analysis in to Primary schools:

· Attention span of young students
· Teacher covering full spectrum of curriculum
· Ease of use
· Class size
· Funding
· Technical support

Clearly the complex visual analysis previously available would not solve the problems listed above. MotionCoach PrimaryVision adopts a three-step simple process to overcome these problems:

1. Capture
2. Show
3. Teach

James Alexander MotionCoach Technical Director states: “PrimaryVision looks and feels the same as other software that teachers already use every day like MS-Word and MS-Outlook. Designing the software this way eliminates the learning curve normally required with other Visual Analysis products”.

MotionCoach is classroom-tested technology: evolved to provide a solution for an identified need in schools. PrimaryVision is a specialized version of MotionCoach, friendly to use, non-threatening, and effective.

Key to the PrimaryVision design is its technical help system. Short informative videos are used to guide the teacher through the features of the software along with actual screen examples. These videos can be used at anytime to assist a teacher in using PrimaryVision.

PrimaryVision also includes important features like easy to use drawing tools, ActionReplay, and the ability to send and receive videos to aid learning.

The screen works like a virtual whiteboard, Lines and shapes can easily be drawn onto the video. Videos can be placed in any configuration, and mixed with all the drawing tools giving totally flexibility to the teacher.

The Action Replay feature provides instant feedback to students. Simply configure the system at the start of class, and let it run. The movement will be shown on the screen a few seconds after the capture. For example: Capture: capture motor skill in action; Show: show how well the child moved; Teach: add value and progress movement. This can work in a great many scenarios including throwing, jumping, dancing, etc.

Martin Radmore County PE and Sports Advisor for the Norfolk LEA says: “This platform simply is the most exciting innovation in ICT in PE. It represents a significant ability to ensure pupils progress and achieve their full potential.”

PrimaryVision is priced so that schools can easily budget multiple licenses for there schools. Schools buy a site license for £185 which includes a single copy of the software and MotionCam video camera. Additional licenses can be added for £95.
