The Address Given by Prem Rawat, Maharaji, at a Special United Nations 60th Anniversary Event Will be Screened on October 16th Throughout Europe

The address given by Prem Rawat on the topic of peace in response to an invitation from the United Nations 60th Anniversary Committee, will be screened on Sunday, October 16th in venues throughout Europe, including twenty in Spain.

Prem Rawat, known also by the honorary title Maharaji, addressed on June 24th a distinguished audience of diplomats, and government and civic leaders at an event held in celebration of the UN’s 60th anniversary at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco, where the UN Charter was signed sixty years ago. Maharaji spoke about the potential that each human being has to feel peace, and about the possibility of that peace becoming a reality in each person's life.

With an aim to spread this message of hope, Eur Communications Association has produced and distributed the DVD of this conference including translation into 9 languages. Maharaji's address will be screened on October 16th at local events sponsored by many organizations in over 20 European countries. Speaking at the special UN’s 60th anniversary event, Maharaji said, “The desire for peace transcends every barrier. The good news is: all that peace requires is a little effort, and no money needs to be spent.

“Peace dwells in the heart of every single living human being. It does not have to be imported. It is sufficient to be given the opportunity to seek the peace inside, to look within, and to see that resource that is possible. We have an opportunity to begin with the fundamental steps in recognizing the need for peace for every person. And then, I think for the first time, we can begin to see a difference.”

Maharaji has traveled around the world since he was only thirteen, inspiring people to find peace within. Last year, more than one and a half million people attended his events. His addresses are regularly translated into 70 languages and distributed in more than 80 countries.
