The Right Dental Prevention Is The Best Way To Reduce Your Dental Budget

Nutrition and quality of nutrients is important for dental prevention.

(PRWEB) October 15, 2005 -- Dental Prevention is divided into two large segments: theoretic and pragmatic. The theoretic part covers the knowledge of how and why dental diseases occur and how to inhibit their development. The pragmatic part shows different ways of executing dental prevention. More information is available on http://www.cheapdentist.co.uk/?m=home

The aim of prevention is to hinder dental cares and periodontal diseases from occurring and to help recognize dental diseases and mutations of the mucous membrane, which may be vital in diagnosing and treating serious, life threatening illnesses such as carcinoma (cancer), AIDS and different diseases of the haematopoietic organs.

The four keystones of dental prevention are: appropriate nutrition, good dental and mouth hygiene, usage of fluorides (sealing of pit and fissure) and precocious treatments (dental screening, attendance).

To ensure appropriate nutrition during pregnancy, mother's should drink lots of fluids to ensure necessary nutrients for the fetus’ growth.
Breastfeeding also helps the development of the baby’s mimicry and provides the right composition of nutrients. Chewing and the quality of nutrients are very important for children. Dietetic habits and sense of taste develop during childhood.

Vitamins are also important:
D – ensures infiltration of Ca and P. Lack of vitamin D causes defects of the adamantine layer.
A – affects the development of dentin, amelogenesis and epithelial tissue. Shortage causes dental enamel defects and uneven tooth surfaces.
C – Ensures the normal buildup of the capillar vessels. Lack of vitamin C can cause inflammation of the gum, capillar bleedings, and diseases of the mucous membrane.
B – nervous system, haematopoietic system. Shortage may cause tongue inflammations, flawed lips.

Carbohydrates may play a negative role:
-may cause caries
-helps bacteria develop
-dissolve in the mouth in organic acids
-lower the pH-level under a level of 5 (5 pH minerals dissolve from the teeth and decay begins in just 1-3 minutes)

Soft drinks, tea, chocolate milk, etc., can cause plaque if a child always goes to bed and falls asleep only after drinking one of these. This is a very dangerous habit.
