Stylish BIENTÔT Magazine Editor Mireille Schwartz Featured in the San Francisco Chronicle Sunday Style Section, October 9 2005
San Francisco's hottest new emerging multi-cultural fashion journal, BIENTÔT, takes the City-by-the-Bay by storm as Editor-in-Chief Mireille Schwartz unveils her favorite hot and cool spots in a highly anticipated ON THE TOWN Series featured in the San Francisco Chronicle Sunday Style Section.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 15, 2005 -- San Francisco resident Mireille Schwartz left a lucrative career at LucasFilm in 2000 and founded a small SF ‘zine Fishwrap Magazine which devoted itself solely to punk rock & hardcore music. After scoring interviews with a then-up-and-coming Avril Lavigne, an intimate Bad Religion Tour Diary, and an unforgettable backseat motorcycle trip with Third Eye Blind’s Stephan Jenkins, the editor realized the small publication had outgrown the alternative music niche and decided amidst the nay saying to pursue a grander interest. As the grand-daughter of a U.N. ambassador in East Africa, the editor recognized the opportunity to create a spinoff publication which could attract a broader audience by celebrating her diverse multi-cultural, multi-racial background, and global fashion seemed like a natural way to bridge the gap. Bientôt Magazine still boasts that same intimate music “Backstage Pass” feeling and the debut issue proved that point eloquently with a week-long diary kept by Mireille’s good pal, My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way. Yet in addition the magazine showed its chops with some bold fashion statements by Burberry and Comme des Garçons not to be missed. The second issue features Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, plus Sean John, a Hard Candy editorial fashion layout, a road trip with rockers Avenged Sevenfold, plus much more.
Bientôt Magazine proudly kicked off the premiere July / August 2005 Double Issue of their glossy, full-color free San Francisco Music & Fashion ‘zine with two end-of-Summer parties on Saturday, August 20th. First, guests enjoyed complimentary Ciroc Vodka & hors d’oevres at the new Russian Hill women’s boutique, Dylan. Next, VIP guests & advertisers moved on to San Francisco’s most exclusive address, Otis, on Maiden Lane for an unforgettable evening of music, the shiny launch issue, plus a very special sneak preview of the Fall 2005 issue.
Now, the impressive Chronicle Sunday Style Section proved this stylish journal has arrived, as Mireille's beautiful full-page photo spread taken at Presidio Heights' Susan boutique dwarfed Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore's smaller photos. Renowned Pop Critic Aidin Vaziri took the reins and profiled Mireille in all of her 'fabulous fashionista' glory. Bientôt's Mireille chose her favorite hot and cool spots from the City-by-the-Bay including The Shrine of Saint Jude, Green Apple Books, Amoeba Records, even a local Hobby Shop. These choices clearly reflect the eclectic style of the editor herself and highlight many of San Francisco's secret indulgences.
