ProviderLink™ Technology Selected for TeamDME!® E-CMN Physician Signature Collection Joint Solution Supports Manual and E-Signature

ProviderLink, Inc. a healthcare I.T. communications company, and TeamDME!, provider of business solutions for home medical equipment (HME) companies, announced today their alliance to deliver an E-CMN solution that gives physicians alternatives in the signature collection process.

Cary, North Carolina (PRWEB) October 19, 2005 -- ProviderLink, Inc. a healthcare I.T. communications company, and TeamDME!, provider of business solutions for home medical equipment (HME) companies, announced today their alliance to deliver an E-CMN solution that gives physicians alternatives in the signature collection process. Powered by ProviderLink, the new solution enables HME companies to manage all information requests including CMNs, faxes, forms and images through an Internet browser regardless of how communications are transported.

Through the use of TeamDME!'s Order Entry System, HME companies will have the ability to distribute physician signature requests and CMNs online, without having to rekey data. The physician can continue to submit the CMN with accompanying signature in any form they prefer – paper, fax, email – and it will be received online for electronic processing. ProviderLink's Signature Collection solution uses bar code, fax-back technology, which addresses the physician's desire to continue using a hand written signature while bringing the document into an online environment.

Kent Barnes, director of marketing at TeamDME! stated, “DME companies are burdened with managing and obtaining physician signatures in a timely, effective manner. This adversely affects their business operations and revenue cycle. TeamDME!'s decision to partner with ProviderLink provides DME companies a solution that overcomes the roadblocks for successful E-CMN adoption.”

Mark McCurry, vice president of business development for ProviderLink, said, “We applaud TeamDME's decision to partner with ProviderLink. Our Signature Collection solution coupled with TeamDME's order entry product will bring to market a E-CMN that is full featured and readily adaptable for physicians.”

In addition to signature collection, clients will be able to identify at any point in time the number of signature requests outstanding, sorted by contact and date. With this information readily accessible, HME companies will be able to identify workflow bottlenecks and take proactive steps to correct them.
