Knobtweakers Radio Launch Party
Knobtweakers.net will officially launch a new streaming internet radio station at the Knobtweakers Radio Launch Party, November 5th, at Club Halo in Salt Lake City, Utah.
(PRWEB) October 16, 2005 -- Knobtweakers.net will officially launch a new streaming internet radio station at the Knobtweakers Radio Launch Party, November 5th, at Club Halo in Salt Lake City, Utah. The party will be broadcast live via the internet on the new radio stream. The station currently streams in shoutcast (MP3) format at 128kilobits per second.
The launch party headliners include DJs DMX and Shahzad, from Denver's famous 303 Collective, spinning breakbeats and progressive house, as well as Knobtweakers residents, Decibel, and Josh Max, spinning drum 'n' bass and house, respectively.
Knobtweakers is an electronic music MP3 blog that exclusively features free and legal MP3 downloads. Most of the tracks featured are covered by a creative commons license, and made available through the thriving netlabel community. A netlabel is much like a traditional record label, only releases are distributed online in the form of MP3 downloads.
Knobtweakers plays an important role in the netlabel community, acting as a quality filter, much like the A&R staff at a traditional record label. MP3 blogs provide a valuable service to musicians, as well, guiding a loyal following of thirsty listeners to the highest quality free music. Some of the songs featured on Knobtweakers have been downloaded more than ten thousand times.
The radio station will provide a random rotation of high quality netlabel music during off hours, as well as live coverage of biweekly parties, concerts, and electronic music events. Listeners will be able to tune in and chat live with artists, attendees, and DJs via the Knobtweakers website.
