Opening the shows will be the "subversive acoustic traditionalist" band, The Mammals, with Pete Seeger's grandson, Tao.

Also, hear the developing plans about the train ride, Christmas on The City of New Orleans, with Arlo Gutherie & Friendsin Bringing Back the Music - Benefiting Victims of Katrina. Arlo Guthrie and friends will travel from Chicago, IL to New Orleans, LA on Amtrak’s “The City of New Orleans,” performing at train stations and venues along the way to benefit the small venues destroyed by Katrina. They plan to depart Chicago on Dec. 5 and arrive in New Orleans on Dec. 17.

On Thanksgiving Day 1965, Arlo Guthrie began writing his epic saga "The Alice's Restaurant Massacree." Based on actual events that took place in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, the saga became a song. The song became a record. The record became a major motion picture. And Arlo became a cultural hero, inspiring a whole generation to social consciousness and activism.
