(PRWEB) October 17, 2005 -- Sonja Brown's debut novel 'Starting Over' follows the journey of a man leaving behind poverty, abuse and communism. While seeking a better life in America, Antonio leaves his home at sixteen and grows up very quickly.
Antonio's dream leads him on the adventure of his life. Traveling through Italy and Germany, Antonio has only one destination, and will do anything to achieve it, regardless of who he hurts.
Along the way Antonio falls in love, begins a family and comes to realize that some of the demons he tried to escape, he has brought with him.
Arriving in America,with a wife and child in tow, unable to speak the language, with no money and no job, Antonio realizes that his struggles have only just begun.
Sonja Brown loosely based her book on her parents' early struggles and immigration to the United States. Dealing with love, infidelity, abuse and immigration, the novel weaves the struggles of early marriage, immigration and reminds the reader what made America great: the opportunity for a better life.
About the author: Sonja Brown graduated from the University of Indianapolis, and Amberton University. She currently resides in Indianapoils, Indiana with her children and her husband.
