Small Charity Holds Big Event to Help Save a Dying Art

First Annual Student Gallery Auction to be held in Downtown San Diego on November 17th 2005 to benefit local students and fund additional scholarships.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 17, 2005 -- Small local charity Adventure Scholars is making a big step towards promoting the art of local students and providing additional scholarships to exceptional students within our communities. Adventure Scholars will be holding its First Annual Student Gallery Auction on November 17th 2005. This benefit will honor 10 local art students and will include a gallery showing of their artwork, scholarship awards ceremony, a live art auction, drinks and appetizers. In addition there will be free valet parking. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund additional Adventure Scholars programs and scholarships.

“It’s simply appalling how important programs, such as art and literature, which are so instrumental to the fabric of our culture are being eliminated or watered down in our education system. Our focus is to not only promote these types of programs but to also reward students who are making a commitment to keep these programs alive” says Tina Indalecio, President of Adventure Scholars.

The benefit will be held at 740 13th Street, Studio 315, San Diego, CA 92101 from 7pm to 10pm. Benefit tickets are $35 for one or 2 for $60 and can be purchased online, via phone or at the door. All donations are tax deductible. For additional information please contact Tania Wale at the number listed below. To purchase tickets, become a sponsor or make a general donation please visit http://www.adventurescholars.org/studentgalleryauction or call 619-325-0949.
