Teddy Hayes, Mystery Writer and Mentor of Legendary Producer Melvin Van Peebles, Feature Interview In The Book Lover's Haven

This month mystery writer Teddy Hayes, author of the Devil Barnett detective books, will be featured in the international literary periodical, The Book Lover’s Haven (www.chistell.com). In addition to authoring the Devil Barnett detective books, Teddy Hayes has written and produced the 90-minute independent feature film, “Her Name Was Amy Tillman”.

A multi-talented writer, Teddy is the author of the plays: I Remember Marvin (about the musical life of Marvin Gaye), Breakaway Angel (a touching gospel musical comedy), and The Baskerville Beast (a stage musical based on Sherlock’s Holmes’ stories The Hound of the Baskervilles. In addition, Teddy is the editor and co-publisher of the leading crime based magazine in the U.K. – Sherlock Magazine.

Having learned much of his movie producing craft under the tutelage of legendary movie producer, Melvin Van Peebles, father of internationally renowned actor, Mario Van Peebles, star of the recently released Carlito’s Way: Rise to Power, Crown Heights, Jaws and New Jack City.
