ABKCO is releasing Chubby’s Classic Recordings of “The Twist,” “Pony Time,” “Limbo Rock” and many others, that were Chart Toppers in the early 60’s on a “Best Of Chubby Checker” In honor of Chubby’s 64th birthday, these classic tracks will be on CD for the first time ever and in stores this Tuesday, October 18.

ABKCO is releasing Chubby’s Classic Recordings of “The Twist,” “Pony Time,” “Limbo Rock” and many others that were Chart Toppers in the early 60’s on a “Best Of Chubby Checker” In honor of Chubby’s 64th birthday, these classic tracks will be on CD for the first time ever and in stores this Tuesday, October 18.
Since Chubby’s initial meteoric rise to fame in 1960 with “The Twist” – the only song in recording history to be # 1 twice & the most successful song of the 60’s, according to Billboard Magazine – he has had 33 Top 100 Hit Records. This includes Chubby Checker’s most recent single, “Limbo Rock Remix,” which is currently # 40 on Radio Disney’s 60 Stations in the US; and was a Top 5 Dance Record on Billboard’s Chart earlier this year. “Limbo Rock Remix” extended Chubby’s National Chart life to well over 45 years, making him 2nd only to Elvis in Rock’n Roll History for longevity & Chart success.
So at 64, Chubby Checker is still doing Concert Dates, Television (2 Shows in the works), and has a new single planned for release in the New Year. Chubby’s extensive line of Food Products is a new addition to his business enterprises and is just now getting into full swing.
