AmaZe Magazine Steps In to Help Out
Curvy Fashion Event to Aid Hurricane Victims
(PRWEB) October 20, 2005 -- On Saturday, October 22, New York City plays host to CURVENTURES, the first networking event being held exclusively for the plus-size industry. AmaZe magazine, dedicated exclusively to women sizes 12 and up, will raffle off $100’s in prizes from some of the top plus-size clothing vendors in the United States. All proceeds from the raffle will go directly to Habitat for Humanity to benefit hurricane Katrina victims.
“When we announced the raffle, our top fashion vendors were quick to step in and offer support,” shares Michele Weston, AmaZe Executive Editor, Style & News. “We pulled together veteran plus-size fashion vendors including Igigi, Bare Necessities, Lane Bryant, Sizeappeal, Zaftique, Gayla Bentley, Kiyonna, stylish newcomer Monif C. and others.
Weston affirms, “AmaZe will continue to embrace our responsibility to care for those in need through several outreach programs that are near and dear to our hearts. We know that these devastating events will not be fixed in a week, or a month, or even a year. Our goal over the next year is to support the ongoing efforts to help our sisters and brothers rebuild their lives, their families and their homes.”
Valery Amador, the magazine’s co-founder and creative director
continues, “The CURVENTURES venue is a brilliant opportunity for us to pull together the plus-size industry and show the world that the measure of a woman is not in the size of her clothing, but the measure of her heart.”
Now, that’s AmaZing.
