La Verne, CA (PRWEB) October 20, 2005
For three years in a row, California artist and television producer Shannon Grissom has been a W.A.V.E. award (Western Alliance Video Excellence) finalist for her television series, “Give Your Walls Some Soul.” To date she’s received 6 nominations but did not get the top award. That situation changed Saturday night when Grissom came home with the W.A.V.E. award in the instructional category. Grissom is truly grateful. “It means a lot for me to receive the award in the instructional category. It lets me know that I’m on track with our show. I’m also happy I didn’t have to wait as long as Susan Lucci for an award!”
The W.A.V.E. awards were held in La Verne California on October 15th. Grissom's winning episode, “This Sock Monkey Has Soul Part 3” competed against shows throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada and New Mexico. The WAVE awards were established by the Alliance for Community Media in 1998 to promote and recognize excellence in local community programming.
Grissom has been producing and hosting Give Your Walls Some Soul since 1993. She's a painter and author from Hollister, CA . Her first children's book, Monkey Made of Sockies published by Authorhouse, has recently been released. She's also a nominee for the ARTV awards to be held October 28th and 29th at the MGM in Las Vegas. For further information Grissom can be reached at shannon @ shannongrissom.com
