New Yorkers Swim for Hours Without Moving an Inch
Swimmer’s Treadmill Showcased at New York City Open House
Aston, PA (PRWEB) October 21, 2005 -- On Saturday, October 22, 2005, New Yorkers will have a chance to see how swimming at home can become a reality, even in the city. Starting at 10:00 a.m., Endless Pools, Inc. will host an open house at SBR MultiSports, allowing individuals to try the Endless Pool.
“We are pleased to work with SBR MultiSports to host an open house,” said James Murdock, Endless Pool president and founder. “I started the business in Manhattan where I built the first Endless Pool on the pool deck at Columbia University. While almost a hundred New York City residents and many more in the surrounding area now own Endless Pools, there are countless others that could benefit from one. I am happy to be able to give New Yorkers a chance to try a pool locally.”
Measuring just 8' x15', the Endless Pool provides all the benefits of a full-size pool in a fraction of the space. It is compact enough to fit virtually anywhere, inside or out, making swimming year-round a possibility even in homes with limited space.
The Endless Pool has a smooth, non-turbulent current, ideal for swimming, aquatic exercise, and rehabilitation. The pool’s unique features include underwater cameras and full-length mirrors that allow a swimmer to see their stroke; jets for relaxation and therapy; railings and steps for ease of access; and an underwater treadmill for aqua running.
“I suffered extensive lumbar, cervical, and nerve damage and the only exercise that does not aggravate or worsen my condition is in the pool,” stated John Rogers an Endless Pool owner and New York resident. “Having an Endless Pool in my basement affords me the ability to exercise on my own schedule without having to travel.”
Endless Pools, Inc., headquartered in Aston, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, was founded in 1988 by James Murdock to manufacture and sell counter-current swimming pools for residential and commercial use. Over the last fifteen years, more than 8,000 Endless Pools have been sold in the United States and 40 countries.
