California Author Celebrates International Exposure During California Writers Week
A joint legislative resolution from members of the California Assembly and State Senate proclaimed October 16-22 as “California Writers Week.” California author, Diana L. Guerrero celebrates with big news from Germany and encourages others to join events in their local areas.
(PRWEB) October 22, 2005 -- California author, Diana L. Guerrero recently received good news from her publisher. Her book, What Animals Can Teach Us about Spirituality: Inspiring Lessons of Wild and Tame Creatures is being published in Germany. The new edition is the first foreign translation. The work has already attracted a grassroots following in the United States, Canada, India and the United Kingdom.
The news coincides with the celebration of October 16-22 as “California Writers Week.” The California Assembly and State Senate, led by Assemblyman Tim Leslie, adopted the resolution in 2003 and is endorsed by the California Library Association. The week honors writers native to the state and coincides with the anniversary of the California Writers Club, a group whose origins date back to the turn-of-the-century literary movement in the San Francisco Bay area.
Guerrero, a resident of the Big Bear Valley, is the founder of the Alliance of Writers--a dynamic group established in 2000 and is currently working on her next project due out in the fall of 2006. She said, “Literacy is important and readers should enjoy the events being held throughout bookstores around the state this week. If you haven’t read any work by a California author -- celebrate this week by doing so!”
